LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Carraway & Gatsby Corporation, operating as Disanchor (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles personal information through disanchor.com, our waitlist, and our developer newsletter. It covers the website currently available, not the planned cloud PC service, which will have its own notices before access opens.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist or subscribe to the newsletter, you provide your email address and consent to the messages you choose. We record the list, registration time and consent version. We also keep information about confirmation and newsletter delivery, such as a provider message ID, delivery status and opt-out records. The lists are separate: joining one does not subscribe you to the other.
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message. Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser and device information, and request details, to deliver and protect the website. Our registration rate limiter uses IP addresses; the application does not store an IP address with a registration.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics receives information such as pages viewed, referring website, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not send your registration email address to analytics.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the site, process registrations, send confirmation messages, provide the newsletter or early-access updates you request, respond to inquiries, manage opt-outs and understand site usage when you allow analytics. We may also use information as needed to comply with legal obligations, address misuse or protect legal rights.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for optional analytics and the newsletter and waitlist communications you request; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, handling inquiries and administering records, subject to your rights; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Cookies and analytics choices
Analytics is optional. Where offered, the analytics choice is stored in your browser, and Google Analytics is loaded only if you allow it. It uses first-party cookies. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. You can change your choice using “Change analytics choice” in the privacy notice at the bottom of this page. Your choice applies to that browser; changing browsers or clearing browser storage may require a new choice. Registration does not depend on analytics consent. The site does not use advertising cookies.
Who receives information
Cloudflare hosts and helps protect the website and stores registrations. Resend processes email addresses and message content to send registration confirmations and newsletters. If you allow analytics, Google processes analytics information. These providers process information in connection with their services; their own privacy notices explain their practices. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction, as permitted by law.
Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use an appropriate transfer mechanism and you may contact us for more information.
Retention
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including managing your subscription or waitlist request, maintaining opt-out and consent records, resolving delivery issues, security, legal obligations and disputes. The period depends on the type of record, whether you remain subscribed or on the waitlist, applicable requirements and the need to prevent unwanted messages. Removal and retention are currently managed by our operators; automatic deletion is not in place. Contact us with a deletion request.
Your choices and rights
To stop the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or contact us. To withdraw from the waitlist or stop early-access emails, contact us. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not automatically remove a separate waitlist entry or historical records. We may retain limited information to honor an opt-out or meet applicable obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion, obtain a copy, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. These rights may be subject to exceptions. To make a request, email welcome@disanchor.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. If applicable, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children and third parties
The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Third-party websites and services, including social networks, have their own policies and are not controlled by us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. We will post the updated policy here and provide additional notice when required.
