Editing a project and producing its final output can place different demands on a computer. We’re interested in a PC experience that gives people a clear choice about the performance they need for the next part of their work.
Our initial plan is to validate two performance options. Moving between them would mean saving your work, stopping the PC, changing its configuration and restarting. That interruption matters: a useful choice needs to account for the time it takes to return to your project.
More performance is only useful when it helps with the work you actually do. We still need to test real applications and complete workflows before publishing supported specifications, measured results or pricing.
Our principle: show the choice, the interruption and the cost before asking you to decide.
