Updated, 2026-10-29: the product description below now reflects the first version, a personal Linux PC you open in a desktop browser. See Starting with Linux.

DirectN was the working name of our personal Cloud PC project. As we start showing it to more people, it now has a public name: Disanchor.

The name comes from an idea we keep returning to: freeing computing from the physical hardware that traditionally defines its limits. Your PC shouldn’t be anchored to one machine on one desk.

The name changed, but the goal remains a personal PC in the cloud, used from the device you already have. The first version is now a Linux PC you open in a desktop browser. It’s still in development, and early access isn’t open yet.

This site is our first public step. We’ll use this devlog to share the thinking behind Disanchor and how the work is going.
